Research Fellowships in Enterprise and the Environment (2 posts)

Grade 7: Salary £29,249 – £35,938 p.a.

The Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment seeks to appoint two Research Fellows in Enterprise and the Environment, to start between 1 October 2012 and 1 May 2013.  These positions are fixed-term for 3 years, covered by departmental funds for a limited period.  There can be flexibility to offer the posts on a part-time basis.

Postholders will be required to conduct independent research in areas of enterprise and the environment, such as environmental management (supply chain management), enterprise-investor relationships, market-facing technological solutions, and corporate environmental reputation and consumer perception.  You will also be asked to contribute to Masters level teaching and senior executive programmes.  The Fellowships are intended to be an opportunity to pursue and develop an independent research career.

We are looking for the best possible candidates, with a strong publication record.  Selection criteria include: doctorate in a relevant discipline; evidence of carrying out independent research and of developing a track record of high quality publications in highly ranked, peer-reviewed academic journals; demonstrate innovation and skills in working with colleagues; demonstrable potential to be an effective teacher of graduates; and knowledgeable of environmental footprints of large and small enterprises, with an understanding of environmental enterprise challenges globally and regionally.  Please see the further particulars for more information.
