Claire Woods
Claire is a second-year DPhil student in the School of Geography and the Environment at Oxford, studying on a Clarendon Scholarship. Before coming to Oxford, she worked as an analyst at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria as an Australian lawyer. She has a Maîtrise in International Law from the Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris II), and Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Melbourne.
Outside her DPhil, Claire’s previous research roles have included working as a research fellow for the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) in 2009, producing the report on legal and practical issues involved in integrating environmental, social, and governance factors into institutional investment, and working as a researcher on climate change policy for the Oxford-based G8 Research Group.
