Rob McSweeney
Rob McSweeney joined the Smith School on sabbatical from the consultancy firm Atkins. His role within the school was to work on the National Climate and Low Carbon Development Strategy Project for Rwanda.
Rob holds an undergraduate engineering Masters from the University of Warwick, and a postgraduate Masters in Climate Change from the University of East Anglia (UEA). His dissertation at UEA assessed the impact of the Indian Ocean Dipole on seasonal rainfall and the spread of Rift Valley Fever in Kenya.
Rob has been with Atkins for over 4 years, working on climate change impacts and adaptation projects, predominantly in the water sector. He also works with the NGO Tearfund, helping them produce a series of country-specific climate change profiles, and to carry out training in their climate change risk assessment tool , CEDRA.
