Ryan Hogarth

Ryan Hogarth

Ryan is an interdisciplinary researcher with a background in development, microfinance and environmental finance. He joined the Smith School in March 2011, as a Research Assistant with the National Climate and Low Carbon Development Strategy Project for Rwanda.

Ryan graduated from the London School of Economics in 2010 with an MSc in Development Management. For his dissertation he led a research project with the microfinance institution FINCA-Uganda to determine the potential for its solar loan programme to generate carbon credits.

He has previously interned with the Grameen Bank in Bangladesh, the online microfinance investment news-source MicroCapital, Oxfam International, and think-tank Re-Define writing environmental policy papers for EU political parties.
