Catherine Cameron

Catherine works for sustainability with a particular focus on responding to climate change, having been a member of the core team producing the Stern Review of the Economics of Climate Change in 2006. She has led teams working with organisations to deliver change across the board in policy, products and process in response to climate change.

She is also a Senior Associate at the University of Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership working with a range of companies in helping them respond to climate change including as Chair of their Climate Leadership Programme. She contributes strategic initiatives such as the `Towards a Sustainable Economy’ paper in 2010 with Jonathon Porritt and Tim Jackson and the development and delivery of the Masters programme Economics in Transition at Schumacher College. She has contributed a chapter to Jorgen Randers forthcoming book `2052.’ She is a Director of Agulhas: Applied Knowledge a company working for sustainability with a particular focus on climate change, fragile states and governance.

She advises the Sustainable Aviation consortium of over 40 air industry companies including BA. Virgin and Rolls Royce and is a member of the Sustainability Council of Earth Capital Partners, an asset management company working with the concept of an Earth Dividend. She has worked in over 45 countries in Africa, the Caribbean, Central and Latin America and South Asia.

She is a regular speaker, commentator and author on sustainability. Her current research interests include promoting and communicating behaviour change, the debate on growth – the limits to, steady state and green, improving climate resilience, becoming climate smart and making the most of climate finance.
