Dr Velma Grover

Velma Grover visited the Smith School in November 2008 and made a second visit in July 2009.

Velma manages the Freshwater Ecosystem Programme at United Nations University’s International Network on Water, Environment, and Health and has extensive experience in capacity building in developing countries, particularly related to distance learning for integrated water resources management.  She is is an Adjunct Professor at the DOFASCO School of Engineering and Public Policy at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada, and at the Faculty of Environmental Studies at York University in Toronto.  Velma has published on various environmental management issues, including seven edited volumes, focusing on an integrated examination of problems in Asian and African countries but also including the perspective of industrialized countries.
