Ian Temperton
Ian Temperton is a Visiting Business Fellow at the Smith School for the academic year 2009-10.
He is a Managing Director at the investment and investment banking firm Climate Change Capital where he is Head of the Advisory group providing corporate finance, M&A, project finance, and strategic and policy advisory services to a range of clients across all aspects of the low carbon economy.
His interests include the link between low carbon investment decisions and the policy designed to incentivise such decisions, and the pricing and valuation of policy-related instruments (such as emissions permits, green certificates etc.).
Ian holds an M.A. and M.Eng in Engineering from Churchill College, Cambridge, and a Master’s in Finance from London Business School.
