Professor Jake Cohen

Jacob (Jake) Cohen is a professor of accounting and law at INSEAD and former Dean of the MBA programme.  At INSEAD, Jake teaches in France, Singapore, and Abu Dhabi for the MBA, EMBA, and Executive Education programmes.  Having served as Director of the PwC-INSEAD Research Initiative, the school’s largest research centre, Professor Cohen directed funding allocations for research projects in the area of sustainability, humanitarian logistics, Blue Ocean Strategy, and Value Reporting.   Professor Cohen teaches financial and managerial accounting with a focus on financial and non-financial measurement and management systems.  He has also done extensive consulting work for companies including BCG, Bain, ArcelorMittal, Blackstone, Accenture, and many others.  Prior to joining INSEAD in 2003, Jake taught for a few years as a Senior Teaching Fellow at the Harvard Business School.  As of July 2012, Professor Cohen will take up a new role as a faculty member and Associate Dean at MIT Sloan.  Jake received a Juris Doctor and a Master’s in Accounting degree from Syracuse University and a Bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University.
