Professor Michael Finus

Michael Finus will be a Visiting Research Fellow at the Smith School in August 2010.
Michael recently joined the University of Exeter Business School (UK) as an Associate Professor in Economics of Climate Change and held previously positions at the University of Stirling (UK) and University of Hagen (Germany). He has worked extensively in the field of environmental and resource economics, in particular on international environmental agreements. He has published widely, including in the Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Public Economic Theory, Social Choice and Welfare, Public Choice, Environmental Resource Economics, and Environment and Development Economics. He also published several books, including Game Theory and International Environmental Cooperation (Edward Elgar, 2001). Michael is a member of the editorial board of Letters in Spatial and Resource Sciences, regularly serves as a referee for journals such as American Economic Review, Journal of Political Economy, Games and Economic Behavior, and Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, and frequently serves on the scientific panel of the annual meetings of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists.
