Scholarships Launched - Oxford Enterprise and the Environment Summer School

The Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment is delighted to announce that 3 scholarships are now available for its Enterprise and the Environment Summer School. These scholarships will cover the course fee in full and are intended for high-achieving students that are passionate about environmental sustainability and are currently in full-time education. We particularly encourage scholarship applications from students at Universities in Africa, South and Central America, and South East Asia.

The Summer School (30 June - 12 July 2019) is intended for undergraduate and masters students wanting to learn more on the nexus between enterprise and the environment. The course is expected to attract a global spread of 35-40 attendees from a diverse mix of academic disciplines, and will include teaching across subjects such as corporate sustainability, environmental economics and policy, water markets and risk, and financing the renewable energy transition.

Now in its fourth year, the Enterprise and the Environment Summer School is an established arm of the Smith School's educational portfolio and provides content across the School's breadth of expertise. Previous students have attended from Universities including; McGill, Melbourne, Trinity College Dublin, Stellenbosch, Hong Kong and Oxford.

"The Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment's Summer School is relatively unique within the University of Oxford, as only a handful of departments and colleges offer their own summer programmes. It is intended to provide attendees with an intense learning experience of over 50 hours of teaching over the 2 weeks, while still providing opportunities to network and to explore the rich culture, life and history of Oxford."

Dr Caitlin McElroy, Programme Director
