Anita Bharucha is the Chief Operating Officer of the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment, where she provides leadership on strategy development.
Previously, Anita helped to establish the Oxford India Centre and the Margaret Thatcher Scholarship Programme at Somerville College, University of Oxford.
Prior to moving to Oxford, Anita was a civil servant and served in a number of Departments, including the Home Office, Cabinet Office, Northern Ireland Office and the Ministry of Justice, advising Ministers on policy.
Anita is a board member of the Police and National Crime Agency Remuneration Review Bodies; a board member of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority; and a Lay Trustee of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
Anita read Classics at Cambridge University.
