Academic Profile

Conor is a Research Assistant on the Sustainable Finance Programme , Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment. He is also a PhD Candidate conducting collaborative research between Cork University Business School and MaREI at University College Cork (UCC), Ireland. His primary research focuses on investment frameworks to support and understand future energy systems that account for the technical limitations of effective power, gas and energy system operation. With a particular focus on the financial performance of European gas infrastructure and base load power generation throughout the energy transition. Additionally, Conor investigates investment frameworks associated with achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 7 of energy access for all. His research at the Sustainable Finance Programme looks at the development of the Risk, Impact, and Opportunity Tool and the Green BRI Data and Analysis Platform. Conor holds a BComm from UCC.
