Dr Jacob Katuva

Jacob Katuva completed his DPhil at the School of Geography and the Environment, University of Oxford in 2019, with the focus of his research on water and welfare in sub Saharan Africa specifically looking at the spatial and temporal impacts of economic growth on environment and development pathways in rural Kenya. Jacob is a Director of FundiFix Ltd, a Kenyan-owned and registered social enterprise which provides repair and maintenance service for rural water infrastructure serving communities, schools, and health facilities. His work focuses on interdisciplinary rural water management and poverty reduction strategies, developing and linking Management Information Systems (MIS) and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) in water resources planning and management in the context of the mining, irrigated agriculture, and rural water sectors in Kenya.
