Profile
Dr Mireia Ginesta is a Research Associate at the Climate Litigation Lab at the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment. Her research explores the connections between high-intensity extreme weather events and a changing climate. She focuses on quantifying the damages caused by extreme storms and attributing these impacts to anthropogenic climate change.
Dr Ginesta holds a BSc in Physics and an MSc in Meteorology from the Universitat de Barcelona. She completed her PhD at Université Paris-Saclay, where her dissertation focused on attributing severe storms in Europe to human-induced climate change.
Dr Ginesta leverages her expertise in extreme weather event attribution to support climate litigation efforts, working to advance justice and accountability for climate-related impacts.
