Profile

Liliana Resende is the Digital Communications and Marketing Officer for the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment.

Liliana is dedicated to supporting the team by providing valuable support in identifying media and digital story opportunities. She works closely with academic colleagues to publicise academic research and news from the Smith School School in a timely and accessible way. She works closely with the team to help market the School's portfolio of educational programs and how to best deliver communications on policy, events and partnerships.

Liliana is skilled in designing and creating materials, content, and communications that appeal to target audiences, including government and enterprise. Liliana works closely with the team to adapt communication assets for maximum use across channels, including web, social and mainstream media.

Additionally, Liliana’s background in graphic and motion design is key to showcase the range of the School's work.

Prior to joining the Smith School, Liliana was the Senior Communications Officer for the MSc in International Health and Tropical Medicine focused on building the course’s media presence and engaging with students and alumni to identify stories to showcase on the website & wider media, and ISARIC, where her tasks ranged from engaging with the media, managing the website and social media channels as well as working closely with academics to identify digital media opportunities.

Before that, she was the Events and Communications Assistant at Pathways for Prosperity, a research project based at the Blavatnik School of Government, where she assisted with events, managed the social media channels and designed curated content for web and print.

Liliana has a BA in Set and Costume Design from the Superior School of Theatre and Cinema (Lisbon) and recently completed the course "Applied science communication: online and media writing" at the University of the West of England.
