Project Manager, State of Carbon Dioxide Removal report

Profile

Sarah is the project manager for the State of Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) report which provides researchers, policy makers and practitioners with a global assessment on the development of CDR. 

She has extensive project and programme management experience across the environmental field, working for governments, the private sector, the European Commission and financial institutions.  This experience has included supporting PwC, the Asian Development Bank and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office to Restructure State-Owned Enterprises in China.  She has also worked with EUROCONTROL in Brussels and Maastricht to assess air traffic management’s role in the environmental sustainability of air travel.  

For the private sector, Sarah has worked in-country both on and offshore with oil and gas companies to incorporate the environment into business and operational practices, particularly in Thailand, Brunei and Aberdeen.  

Her programme management experience includes working on the UK government Knowledge Transfer Programme (KTP), connecting businesses that have an innovation idea with the academic expertise to help deliver it.  She has also provided programme management support to the Market Transformation Programme (MTP) working to achieve sustainable improvements in the energy efficiency of consumer goods through a public domain evidence base and outcome modelling capability. 

In recent years, she has worked in educational business management for a multi academy trust ensuring state educated free school meal-eligible pupils and children with special educational needs and disabilities have access to equal life opportunities.  

She has an MSc from Nottingham University in Environmental Science and has also studied at Sussex University, Warwick Business School, ENSICaen and the Institute of Leadership and Management.
