Global Youth Climate Training session
As part of the University of Oxford’s Right Here, Right Now global summit on climate change, we will be live-streaming a session of our popular youth climate training programme.
The Global Youth Climate Training programme is aimed at 16 – 35-year-olds seeking to advance their skills in climate diplomacy. This session will focus on climate finance, with a particular focus on loss and damage funding.
About the session
- Explore the outcomes of COP29 and potential agenda for COP30
- Discuss government led policies through an equity lens
- Explain the UN Standing Committee on Finance main negotiation items (including the Fund to Respond to Loss and Damage)
- Find out how to get involved in climate finance negotiations (UNFCCC + G20)
- Explore the main positions on the New Collective Quantified Goal on Climate Finance Roadmap through an intergenerational equity lens
